seperate in the hope of, eventually, a release independent of my other works
within the Dance music industry."
Orton Emme's music tends to be melancholic, lonely and of the deeper, more
chilled out nature including genres such as Trip Hop and Ambient music into his
repertoire. With interesting textures and atmospheres, Orton Emme's music often
uses contrasting instrumentation to create his desired mood. Soft, smooth,
orchestral-like string sections and melodies tinged with atmospheric mood and
space rest lightly on deep and dominant drums and basslines. Also enjoying music
of past years and decades, he enjoys slipping elements of Jazz and Blues into
his productions when and where he can and, more recently, thrives on using notes
outside of the current key to help portray mood and atmosphere better.
Orton Emme's music has been compared to Portishead, Lemon Jelly, Autechre,
Everything But the Girl and Moby.
